of payload companies combined with reduced launch costs has
resulted in a massive increase in need for commercial spacecraft
platforms, known as satellite buses. These buses hold the payloads
of our customers and are flown on launch vehicles.Apex manufactures
these satellite buses at scale using a combination of software,
vertical integration, and hardware that is designed for

galaxy beyond our planet.We are seeking a highly skilled and
motivated Quality Engineer to join our team! The ideal candidate
will have a strong background in engineering, quality assurance,
and supplier management. This role is critical to ensuring that our
suppliers meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and
performance, ultimately contributing to the overall success of our
operations.Responsibilities:
- Assess potential suppliers based on their capabilities,
capacity, quality systems, and performance history. Conduct on-site
audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with company standards
and industry regulations.
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics including
quality, delivery, and cost. Develop and implement supplier
performance improvement plans, including corrective actions and
continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with suppliers to resolve technical issues and
provide engineering support. Collaborate with internal teams,
including engineering and procurement to ensure alignment on
specifications, requirements, and expectations.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to quality standards and regulatory
requirements. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective
actions for any quality issues. Develop and maintain supplier
quality manuals and documentation.
- Lead supplier development projects including new product
introductions, process improvements, and cost reduction
initiatives. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to
ensure successful completion.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier
performance and supply chain disruptions.Requirements:
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access
export controlled data.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial,
Aerospace, or related field).
- 3+ years of experience in supplier development, quality
assurance, or supply chain management.
- Proven experience with supplier evaluation, audits, and
performance management.
- Knowledge of quality systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001,
AS9100).
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control
(SPC).
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as
needed.Differentiators:
- Certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt,
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Certified Supply Chain
Professional (CSCP).Salary Range: $105,000 - $135,000 a yearThe
stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base salary
range and excludes additional benefits. If your salary requirements
