Job Description:
Field Services EngineerLocation: San Diego, California (This is
an onsite position)Skills required: Mac Laptop Support, Corporate
Desktop/Tech Bar, Active Directory, Jamf/Intune Entra/AzurePlease
note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship
now or in the future.Responsibilities
- Use tools and processes to support end-user computing devices,
including desktops, laptops, Apple devices, tablets, thin clients,
mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Manage stockroom of peripherals and laptops, providing
quarterly audits and disposal as directed by the business.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide support at the Tech
Lounge.
- Resolve computer issues and prioritize customer inquiries.
- Install new programs, manage updates, and provide technical
support.
- Provide hands and feet support for network, server, and
conferencing teams.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot required client software
and hardware, whether onsite or remotely.Requirements
- Solid knowledge of Mac OSX and a minimum of 2 years Mac
experience in an Enterprise Environment is required.
- Experience in Mac Operating system installation.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (VPN, Routing,
Ports, TCP/IP, Network analysis tools) preferred.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tickets within SLAs related to
operations and end-user requests.
- Experience with a ticketing system - ServiceNow.
- Expected to have in-depth knowledge of the latest technology
used in Mac/Windows computers and systems.
- Excellent analytical and customer service skills are required
to understand the requirements of the clients and the problems
arising in the systems.
- Must constantly update knowledge and skills to execute job
responsibilities efficiently.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of PC & MacOS
problems related to hardware and software.
- Assist in developing and documenting improvements to current
processes.
- Provide technical support for events, video conferencing, and
audio/visual setups.Salary and Other CompensationApplications will
be accepted until 02/10/2025. The annual salary for this position
is between $37,800 - $68,500 depending on experience and other
qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also
eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and
stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of
